Books

The Society is proud to have one of the most extensive model engineering libraries in the world.  Our collection includes over 1700 books on subjects relating to our field.  Subjects covered include general engineering, DIY and motors.  For the modeler sections include railway (both live and model), ships and boats and aircraft.  In addition there are over 100 sets of plans for model aircraft and boats.

Magazines

We have an extensive collection of magazines, including:

• A full set of Model Engineer, dating from 1896 to the present - every issue ever published!
• Model Engineer's Workshop
• Home Shop Machinist
• Live Steam.

For sale

We have some duplicates and triplicates of books and magazines for sale arising from donations to the club.  Included here is a fully complete set of Model Engineer from 1946 to 1966!
